Stepping from the house, the woman moved slowly down to the lake, wearing nothing but a flowing white gown that seemed to flow around her as if made of something other than a usual material; like water and air all at once. Aida was barefoot, taking pleasure from the feeling of the grass beneath her feet, the air still around her, the sun beating down on her pale skin. Her hair was back to its normal state; that shimmering silver that acted the same as the gown she wore; shifting around her shoulders as if a current had taken hold of it as it would within water. Each fluid motion flowing into the next in a never-ending cycle. Those silver eyes sparkled like the lake she was making her way towards, seeming to be filled with the same substance that shimmered and shined as though from another world.
Aida stepped forwards carefully, eyes fixing upon the lake as she made her way down to it. It felt like she was walking on air, the ground simply melting away beneath her feet as she moved on. This was one day she could enjoy the beauties of the world around her. She reached the lake and settled herself down on one of the delicately-carved stone benches she'd placed here not long ago, shifting her foot fowards to submerge her toes in the warm water. She finally felt at home; relaxed. The night before Aida had been walking through life in search of answers and, early this morning, she'd found what she'd been hunting for for centuries. She finally knew who her parents had been.
The woman cast her eyes upward, a gentle smile on her lips. Completely at lease with the world, Aida sighed happily. She even knew their names now. The beautiful woman and the handsome man finally had names, just not proper faces. Not yet. She wasn't quite ready to cross that bridge yet. Maybe soon she'd do more research, but not yet. for now, she was happy enough to have their names.
Lily and Alexander Santos.
Just thinking about those names brought an even bigger smile to her lips and happy tears to her eyes. Eventhough she'd shattered the laws of time with Myk and went back to see them, she couldn't remember what they'd looked like. She just knew that she had everything but her nose from her mother. She had her Father's nose. She raised a delicate hand to touch it and giggled softly, then returned her eyes to the lake, watching the water rippling gently in the faintest of breezes.
